Trained in professional music at Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy, Yan first gained recognition as a co-founder of the country band June21, signed to Father & Son Records, before shifting his career towards pop and electronic music. His collaboration with the duo Lucky Rose on the song "The Way You Want Me" has garnered over 20 million streams on digital platforms and attracted the attention of the international music industry.

A prolific songwriter, Yan writes for his own projects as well as for other artists. He has a remarkable ability to transform stories and emotions into lyrics and melodies, leading him to collaborate with numerous artists in the music scene. He notably co-wrote "Je serai là," performed by Corneille for the animated film *La Guerre des Tuques* (The Dog Who Stopped the War), a project that won an ADISQ Gala award.

In 2020, he was selected from among 48 international artists to participate in the LIMPI program in Norway, where he honed his songwriting and production skills. More recently, he has expanded his international network through collaborations in the EDM scene, notably with Amél, a protégé of DJ Martin Garrix.

In 2025, he joined the popular television show *La Voix* (The Voice), where his performance during the blind auditions turned all four coaches' chairs. He chose to join Roxane Bruneau's team, with whom he developed a close artistic relationship that led to an invitation to share the stage with her at Festivoix.

Through his current projects, Yan continues to create sensitive and unifying contemporary music, while continuing to put his writing and creativity at the service of other artists.
